Kimberly Choate named UCECP Acting Director
Kimberly Choate is the Acting UCECP Director. Kimberly’s colleagues and preschool parents consistently indicate she focuses on the needs of the children and families, builds and empowers teaching teams, and excels in communication and administration.
Kimberly shares, “My passion as an early childhood educator is to support the children and families through their formative and vital early years of development. I have always been inspired by the transformative power of a supportive and innovative learning environment.”
A preschool educator for 28 years, Kimberly served eighteen years as a classroom teacher and ten years as Director of an early learning program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Kimberly earned a Master's in Early Childhood Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from National-Louis University. She holds ISBE Teacher Certification, Director Credential, ECE Credential and is certified in Pediatric First Aid and CPR. Kimberly serves on the Birth to Five Illinois State Advisory Committee.
